ParkWatch - Make Space for Girls

Did you know that 90% of park and green space facilities out there are dominated by boys, leaving girls nowhere where they can safely hang out or do sports?

Make Space for Girls are seeking to change this, by reporting and lobbying on making more space for girls to feel safe in their activities.

Make Space for Girls asked people to take part in a citizen science project: ParkWatch, counting how many teenagers were using the facilities in their local park, and how many of these were girls. They then created a report that sets out the results.

So for the first time they have proper data on who is using the MUGAs (Multi-Use Games Areas – fenced pitches or cages), skate parks and BMX tracks.

I created a campaign look and feel that ran across all print and digital materials, contributing to the overall presentation and communication of this crucial data.
